The CSU: Leadership Academy 32 is hosting a Food & Item Collection Drive and Virtual 3k Virtual Walk/ Run benefiting A Place 4 Me (AP4M). A Place 4 Me supports and assists youth aged 14 - 26 who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
All proceeds benefit AP4M.
About AP4M
In its current form, A Place 4 Me is not a physical place but rather an idea of providing a place to call home to all young people ages 14 to 26, especially those who are homeless or transitioning out of child welfare or other legal systems.
Through local planning and implementation, this initiative aims to improve the outcomes of youth transitioning out of foster care in the following areas:

Preventing homelessness, including youth aging out of foster care.

Identifying and connecting youth at risk of homelessness to resources.

Utilizing federal, state, and local resources to provide stable housing options for young people.

Supporting young people with employment assistance, mentoring, financial capability, and emergency assistance resources to maintain stable housing.
Food & Item Donation Drive
May 22 - June 22, 2023
CSU LA 32 is collecting the following food and personal hygiene items to support youth served by the AP4M initiative.
Food Needs: Canned ravioli/Beefaroni (with pop tops), Canned goods with pop tops, Ramen Noodles, Easy Mac, Microwavable nonperishable food items
Snacks: Fruit snacks, Cheez-Its, Peanut Butter Crackers, Granola bars
Fruit cups, Peanut Butter, Pop-tarts
Drinks: Bottled water, Sports Drinks, and Capri Suns

Household Items:
Can openers, Air mattresses, Washcloths, Blankets, Household Items, Laundry Detergent, Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Cleaning supplies
Personal Items:
Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Deodorant, Shampoo & Conditioner, Body Wash/Bar Soap, Feminine Hygiene Products (tampons, pads, liners), Hand sanitizer, Sanitizing wipes, Cologne/perfume, Lip balm, Body lotion, Nail clippers, Shaving cream

Virtual 3K Walk/Run
June 23 - July 23, 2023

A virtual walk/ run can be completed from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track (or even at another race). Run your race at your own pace. This is for fun, so don’t worry about timing yourself.

The Leadership Academy is the region's premier public sector leadership development program and is proud to celebrate over 30 years of service. The program is designed to encompass leadership and personal and organizational development topics and has over 600 graduates representing major governmental and nonprofit organizations throughout northeast Ohio.
